The Gothic Violin has evolved from a solid body to a hollowed body into an electric acoustic violin which reclaims the subtle tonal characteristics and dynamic response of a traditional acoustic violin. It produces a full rich acoustic sound which is slightly compressed to eliminate feedback and allow the violin to cut through in high volume conditions.
The face carved in the back of the Gothic Violin serves as the primary sound hole projecting the majority for the natural acoustic sound away from your ears allowing you to hear your amplified sound. This also provides a very comfortable unplugged practice volume. The underlying concept is that by focusing on the tonal quality of the violin and allowing the amplifier to produce the volume, this results in a system which is far more versatile in the widest variety of playing conditions possible.
Whether you are practicing unplugged, amplified at low or high volume or recording, you will be amazed by the tonal quality, light weight, comfort, control, familiarity and effortless response of the Gothic Violins.
